TPL Insurance batted first & were off to a flying start. Their openers had a partnership of 50+ runs dominating the first half of the game. S M Tariq Ziauddin got unlucky as he missed a well deserved 50 as he was dismissed on 46. Sami Imam came in & he too had a brilliant partnership with Kashif Rajput before Kashif was dismissed for a sublime knock of 63 runs. No other batsman was able to spend a long time on the crease as the bowlers picked up wickets regularly. Sami Imam scored 31 runs but couldn’t find any support from the other end. Abdur Rehman & Mohtashim Muhammad picked up a wicket each. TPL Insurance managed to put up a total of 179 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Askari Life INC came in to chase this challenging target & were off to a flying start as their openers put up a solid partnership of 50+ runs. Talha Irshad played a master blaster of an innings scoring 79 runs & was well supported by Dawar Khan who played a sublime knock of 61 runs off just 28 balls. After Dawar was dismissed the bowlers made some sort of comeback as they picked up 3 wickets in quick succession but it was too little too late as Talha Irshad stayed there till the end leading his team to victory. Syed Yawar Hussain Rizvi, Ali Haider & Sami Imam picked up a wicket each but it was not enough.
