The Final of the KK Woman's Night Tournament was played late on Sunday night, at the Kokan Ground, between the Athletic Club and the Knight Riders.
The Athletic Club decided to bat first and produced a strong partnership early on in the innings. Batswomen Sana Urooj and Areeba picked up the scoring rate with innings' of 15 and 20 respectively with 1 boundary to each of their names. Subhana Tariq also contributed a valuable 10 runs to lead her team to a satisfactory 82 runs at the end of 8 overs. For the Knight Riders, Javeria Rauf was the pick of the bowlers bagging 2 wickets for 14 runs.
The Knight Riders got off to a slow start with opener Javeria Rauf scoring 10 runs in 7 balls with 1 boundary while her team struggled to get runs on the board. Lower order batswomen Ayesha Amjad tried to increase the scoring rate but could only manage to score 12 runs. The Athletic Club Bowlers did a fantastic job in restricting their opposition, courtesy 3 wickets from Areeba in her 1 over and 2 wickets for Fatima Sana in her 2 overs. The Knight Riders ended their tournament at 42 for 7 in 7 overs.
Athletic Club were crowned the well-deserved champions of the KheloKricket Women's Night Tournament after beating the Knight Riders by 40 runs. Muneeba Ali of the Knight Riders was declared the Best Batswoman, after being the Top Scorer, while fellow teammate Sana Taj, was declared as the Best Player of the Tournament for her all round performance.
