In the Last match on day 2, of the KK Women's Night Tournament, at the Kokan Ground, Athletic Club came up against the Rockets, in what turned out to be a one sided affair.
The Rockets opted to bat first with opener Iqra Rani being the only noticeable contributor for her team with her innings of 11 runs in 12 balls. Unfortunately for the Rockets, no other player could reach double figures. Anoosha was the pick of the bowlers for the Athletic Club taking 2 wickets for 10 runs in her 2 overs while Soha Baig and Areeba also took 1 wicket each. The Rockets ended their innings at a below par total of just 31 runs in 6 overs.
With the target set at 32 runs from 36 balls, the Athletic Club came out confident of a well-earned victory. Openers’ Huraina Sajjad and Rida Hussain did not disappoint and led their team to victory in just 4 overs. Huraina Sajjad top scored with 15 runs with 2 boundaries to her name.
The Athletic Club won the match by 8 wickets.
