Atlas Pakistan beat Mavericks by an astounding 116 runs at the Nazeer Hussain Gulberg Gymkhana Ground this past week.
The match winning total for Atlas was scored in large part by opener Adeel Khan who made a dazzling 123 runs from just 50 deliveries including 13 sixes and 9 fours to set the tone for the rest of the innings as his team made 245 in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Other impressive performances included 28 from 19 by Obaid Ur Rehman and 37 from 12 by Naveed Baloch. Saad Asif took two wickets while Salman Asif, Sumair Ali and Moin Jahangir took one.
The total proved too much for the Mavericks to handle as they only managed to make 129 for the loss of eight wickets. Saad Faisal (27 from 16) and Hamza Bhatti (30 from 30) could not revive the innings as the Mavericks were mercilessly crushed. Mir Ali, Mir Ahnaf and Ali Shah took two wickets while Haris Siddique took one.
