In the Semi Final of the 7th Challengers Cooperate Cup, played at the Al Mansoora Ground, Aimmz Trading came head to head with Bank Islami, in a match that saw the latter winning comfortably.
Aimmz Trading batted first and were off to a decent start with opener Zain Khan contributing a responsible 30 runs, with 3 fours and a six in his innings. However, Bank Islami fought back with strike bowler Talha Fahim picking up 2 wickets for 21 runs in his 3 overs. Ahmer Farooqui also shone with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 17 runs, in his quota of 4 overs. Nevertheless, Aimmz Trading came back into the game, courtesy some brilliant batting by their middle order. Haris Shams scored a rapid 38 runs in only 26 balls (3 fours and a six) while fellow teammate Abdur Rehman pitched in with a vital 40 runs, with 2 sixes, in 34 balls. Aimmz Trading ended their 20 overs at a decent score of 132 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Chasing 133, Bank Islami were off to a flying start with opener Fahad Khan striking the ball to all parts of the ground. His 41 ball knock of 81 runs included 8 fours and 5 huge sixes to put his team in a winning position. Middle order Batsman, Shafqat Hussain Shafi then ended proceedings with a solid 41 runs in 22 balls (5 sixes) to seal a comprehensive win. For Aimmz Trading, Syed Atif Humayun bowled well, taking 1 wicket for 20 runs.
Bank Islami won the match by 8 wickets with 8.1 overs to spare.
