Bank Islami v IAL Smashers
Bank Islami batted first and put on a strong performance with the bat. Opener Ahmer Farooqui paired up with Usman Farhat to get his team off to flying start. The duo contributed 44 and 47 runs respectively to put some pressure on the IAL bowlers. Talha Fahim was another notable player for his side with a valuable 32 run innings. IAP bowlers were finally able to make some inroads with Rizwan Ahsan and Jawad Ali picking up 2 wickets each. Faizan Alam and Adeel Obaid also chipped in with 1 wicket each. Bank Islami ended at a competitive 177 for 6 in 20 overs.
IAL Smashers lost both openers Kami and Alvi early on the innings. Things did not get any easier for the chasing side as they continued to lose wickets in regular intervals. Rehan Rasheed and Adeel Obaid were the only two batsmen to show some resistance against the lethal bowling attack. They scored 39 and 25 runs respectively but it wasn't enough to chase down the target. Khurram Iqbal Shamsi was brutal in his 3 wicket spell along with Wasim Ali who also took 2 wickets. IAL Smashers were bowled out for 128 runs in 17.3 overs.
Bank Islami won by 49 runs.
