Benitoz Panthers and Karachi Patriots played an important match of the 8th Residence cup at SKBZ cricket ground. Patriots won the toss and fielded first and took 3 early wickets of Daniyal, Salman and Faizan. Danish Aziz with 43 runs and Sumail Aziz with 41 runs then stabilized the innings and Irfan knocked 15 runs but Benitoz were all out for just 136 runs. Ghazanfar Richie took 4 wickets while Faisal Butt and Sameer Ahmedani got 2 wickets each while Adeel Abbasi and Afzal Ilyas picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Patriots start was a disaster as Faisal, Atif, Haris and Richie were all out quickly and they were struggling at 6 for the loss of 4 wickets. Faraz with 19, Tayyab with 18 and Adeel with 13 tried to pull back the decline but Patriots were all out for just 85 runs in the wake of some disciplined bowling by Benitoz bowlers. For Benitoz, Faisal Ghouri and Asad struck with 3 wickets each while Rehan and Danish got a wicket each.
Benitoz won by 51 runs.
