Benitoz Panthers v ICT
Benitoz Panthers batted first and were off to dream start. Openers Tabish and Madni were merciless against the bowlers smashing a combined 113 runs to set the perfect foundation. Saad Ahmed and Mohib Ahsan then stepped in with fiery cameos of 37 and 38 runs to propel their team to a mammoth total. ICT bowlers were ineffective against the opposition with only Shahzaib Ahmed picking up 2 wickets for his side. Hunain and Khalid also took a wicket each. Benitoz Panthers set a target of 215 runs in 20 overs.
ICT needed an extraordinary innings to chase down the target. The team however struggled with the bat, unable to capitalize on some decent starts and keep the scoreboard ticking. Idrees Amin, Sabih Merchant and Osama were the only notable contributors for their side, contributing 49 and 38 runs respectively. The rest of the team simply fell apart outdone by an impressive display of bowling by the Panthers. Hamza Ali Khan and Faisal Ghouri inflicted the most damage, taking 2 wickets each to stump the opposition. ICT were limited to 196 in 20 overs.
