VMA batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost Raheel Asif for just 2. Kamil and Rehan then got together and tried to bring some stability back in the innings. Kamil Mehmood scored 30 off 28 balls with 4 fours whereas Rehan Hanif scored 17 off 14 balls with 1 four and a six. After their dismissal, Shezad Suleman and Ali Bantwa propelled the score forward and scored 39 and 16 respectively but they could not convert their starts into big scores. The rest of the batting failed for VMA, Mohib Ahsan picked up 3 for 28 and was the chief destroyer. The others contributed as well. In the end, VMA managed to score 124 in their 20 overs.
The chase was off to a bumpy start as Benitoz Panthers lost 2 quick wickets at the top of their innings. It created some panic in their dressing room but the nerves were settled down when Rameez Mehboob was joined in by Mohib Ahsan and they both rescued the sinking ship. Rameez Mehboob scored 30 off 12 balls before he was dismissed and after him Mohib was joined in by Raja Saqlain. Both of them batted with a strike rate of over 200 and never looked troubled during their partnership. Mohib Ahsan scored 44 off 18 balls with 6 fours and 1 six whereas Raja Saqlain scored 44 off 15 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. In the end, the run chase was completed quite comfortably only in 9.1 overs.
