Alliance Sports v ZMCC
Alliance Sports batted first losing opener Khurram early on for just 7 runs. One down Idrees also lost his wicket cheaply. Muzammil Mehboob and Talha Butt then carried the innings forward with knocks of 26 and 51 runs respectively. Talha's half century pulled the team right back in the game with 3 boundaries and 4 sixes. Israr the stepped on to smash 26 before he was run out. None of the other batsmen however were able to capitalize on the foundation with only Humayun contributing a cameo of 14 late down the order. Alliance Sports ended at 159 for 8 in 20 overs. Zeeshan was the key wicket taker for ZMCC with 3 wickets while Danish, Shahbaz and Afzal picked up a wicket each.
In response ZMCC had a rough day chasing. After losing opener Zeeshan to a run out for just 2 runs, his partner Sohail paired up with Afzal to bring some stability to the side. They contributed 33 and 16 respectively before Afzal was also run out. The team kept losing wickets in regularly intervals and despite some very decent starts were unable to propel the side forward. Israr Ul Haq and Talha Butt were lethal in their spells picking up 3 wickets each. Imran Habib and Bilal almost took their side over the line with knocks of 29 and 18 but simply fell short of the target. ZMCC ended at 148 for 9 in 20 overs.
Alliance Sports won by 11 runs.
