Bright Gymkhana beat Alpha CC by 39 runs this past Sunday at the CAA Ground.
Bright Gymkhana batted first and thanks to some splendid batting from Haider Bangash, who made 61 from 39, Syed Ali Nasim who made 32 from 27, Afzal Qureshi who made 25 from 19 and Danish Moin who made 22 from 12, were able to put up 176 in 20 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Mohammad Yousuf Halari took two wickets while Areeb Naveed, Tahir Hussain and Jawad Ali took one.
Alpha CC were unable to chase the target and only made 137 in 19.2 overs before being all out. The only impressive performances were from Yawar Imam who made 43 from 24 and Talha Iqbal who made 22 from 23. Danish Moin and Bilal Saigal and Adnan Afridi took two wickets while Sohail Fazal, Shehzad Meher, Shoaib Ibrahim and Haider Bangash took one wicket.
Bright Gymkhana were the clear win and put on a consistent batting and bowling performance.
