Brilliant Sheraz Wins it for Ten Pearls

Ten Pearls Vs United Energy Pakistan

6th Corporate Cup

Ten Pearls batted first and were off to a poor start as they lost Ajdal Aziz for a duck followed by his partner Faiz Ul Haq for just 13 runs. The team was reeling at one stage before Sheraz Ahmed stepped in to take over the reigns. He smashed the bowlers all around the park during his scintillating effort of 110 which came off just 63 balls with 11 fours and 6 sixes in his brilliant knock. It was one great innings fully supported by Mustafa Hassan who silently scored 30 off 21 balls. Haq Nawaz and Umer Ghazi fought back with the ball, taking 3 wickets each to stop the flow of runs. After the herculean effort, not much contribution came from the middle or lower order and Ten Pearls were restricted to 189 in 20 overs.

United Energy Pakistan, in response were off to a shaky start as they lost their openers without much on the board. Haq Nawaz then joined the middle and scored some useful runs for his side. At one stage Ten Pearls bowlers were in panic mode as Haq Nawaz was smashing them to all parts of the ground, he scored 61 off just 41 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Unfortunately, for United Energy the remaining batsmen contributed little on the other end. Only Sumair Sarwar scored 28 off 20 balls with 3 fours down the order but that was not enough. Daniyal picked up 3 wickets and bowled economically as he gave away just 19 runs. Faaz Ullah also struck with the ball, taking 2 wickets. In the end, United Energy Pakistan scored 144 in their 20 overs.

Ten Pearls won by 45 runs.
