Captains Seal Victory for Trail Blazers

Trail Blazers Cricket Club and Eagles Cricket Club played their third match of the 5 match series at SKBZ Cricket Ground. A weakened Eagles side won the toss and decided to bat first but were missing key players Rehan Nazim and Madni Waqas Raja and Hassan Chili. They had a shaky start as Trail Blazers captain, Tayyab R Balagamwala ripped through the top order with 3 quick wickets of Hasan Zaidi (8), Muhammad Jehangir Khan (6) and Asad Mahmood (2). Riaz Nazim with 41 runs put up resistance and was ably supported by Munnam who knocked 27 runs but none of the other batsmen got to double figures and Eagles were all out for 121 runs. For Trail Blazers, Adnan Salim and Muhammad Shahzad Anwar Arain took 2 wickets each while Mohammed Afzal Ilyas and Ansar Anis Bhesania picked up a wicket each.

In reply, it was time for the six machine Usman Yunus Ghani to put on a show. The Team's vice captain was missing from the last two matches but in his first game for the team , he bamboozled the bowlers as he got to a half century in just 18 deliveries with some power hitting and eventually was declared and retired not out at 78 runs off a mere 30 deliveries as he hit 8 boundaries and 6 sixes, a tremendous achievement as 68 of his 78 runs came in the form of boundaries. He was ably supported by Salman Rafiq Dossani who got 34 not out off just 23 deliveries. On the other hand, Murtaza Salim was out after scoring one run while Ansar Anis Bhesania hit the winning boundary . For Eagles, solitary wicket was taken by Assam as Trail Blazers raced home with more than 10 overs to spare.

Result: Trail Blazers won by 9 wickets and lead the series 2-1
