Clayton D’Souza’s century too hot to handle for HBL Asset Management

Samba Bank Warriors batted first with their opener in fine form. Despite loosing 2 wickets in the powerplay they scored at a very high run rate. Faraz Sandhu played a fiery knock of 30 runs off just 19 deliveries. The bowlers then managed to pickup 2 wickets in quick succession but Clayton D’Souza kept on hitting the ball cleanly towards all parts of the ground. He showed an absolute batting masterclass absolutely blowing away the bowling lineup. He scored a fine 100 off just 55 deliveries an innings which consisted of 5 towering sixes & 10 boundaries. Faraz Shah Taimuri came in towards the back end of the innings & played a cameo of 29 runs off 10 deliveries. Umair Shareef managed to pickup a couple of wickets but went for plenty. Samba Bank Warriors posted a mammoth total of 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

HBL Asset Management came in to chase this huge target & never seemed to find their footings from the word go. The lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay completely loosing their way. The bowlers dominated through out the innings as they kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals. Sabih Siddiqui was the only batsman whi showed some sort of resistance as he scored 22 runs off 17 deliveries. The middle order & the lower order completely collapsed & were blown out of proportion. Muhammad Zahid was absolutely unplayable as he picked up 4 wickets. He found good support from Yousuf Bhatti who picked up 3 wickets. HBL Asset Management were bolwed out for 143 runs in 17.5 overs.
