Folio3 went up against National Refinery Limited and batted first. The team lost opening batsman Aneeq Hashmi and one down Mobeen Ahmed for duck but nothing could deter Shahab Uddin. In one of the most exquisite innings we have ever witnessed, Shahab single handedly carried his side with a massive 131 at a strike rate of over 200 which included 9 HUGE sixes! Hamza Azad also chipped in with 29 but none of the other batsmen contributed to the score. Folio3 ended at 173 for 7 in 20 overs. For NRL, Javaid Ali took 3 wickets while Ali Abdullah got 2 wickets and Ahsan picked up a wicket.
In response National Refinery stepped out with intent. Opening batsman Nizam smashed 76 off 45 including 10 boundaries. With the foundation set, the remaining batsmen chipped in with cameos, the most notable being Ali Abdullah's 27 and Irfan Ahmed's 25. Folio3's bowlers could not contain the flow of runs with only Asim Khatri, Mobeen Ahmed and Abbas Ali picking up a wicket each. National Refinery Limited chased down the target in 15.4 overs.
