In a group match of the ongoing 8th Challengers Cup, played at the Eastern Star Ground, Creative Chaos came head to head against the Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP), in a match that was well contested between the two sides.
Batting first, Creative Chaos were off to a solid start with opener Shoaib scoring a run a ball 44 with the aid of 4 fours and 2 huge maximums. The confident start was then carried on by Maaz Mustafa Kamal, who scored 27 runs in 17 balls with the aid of 4 boundaries. The IAP bowlers bowled well with Ali Ahmed and Nawaz Khan picking up 2 wickets, conceding 29 and 23 runs respectively. Creative Chaos, at the end of 20 overs, scored 169 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
IAP, chasing 170, took off in a positive manner, with opener Umer Ishtiaq scoring a responsible 41 runs in 32 balls with 6 fours and a six to his name. Fellow teammate Aamir Abbas then contributed with a solid 23 runs to bring his side closer to victory. However, the Creative Chaos bowling line up stood firm, with Maaz Mustafa Kamal taking the spotlight. His 5 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs lead his team to victory as IAP could only manage 156 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Creative Chaos won the match by 13 runs.
