Daewoo CC were off to a slow start with their opening pair in the first innings of the match. Ibrahim Akhtar scored 5 runs only and Shahid Ali scored 17 runs for the team. Shafat Chishti came in at number three and scored 10 runs for his side, and lost his wicket to Shahzad Jumani who took 2 wickets in the innings. Fahad Jabbar added pretty decent runs to the scoreboard after scoring 20 runs and could’ve made more but unfortunately lost his wicket after a run out. Talha Faheem played an awesome innings and gave his team something to cheer about. He scored 55 runs just off 34 balls where he hit 3 massive sixes. Abdur Rehman was the man who put an end to Talha Faheem’s knock and later on picked 3 more wickets. Waseem Ali was the last batsman to score in the double figures and rest of the batting order was brutally annihilated by the opposition’s bowling attack. Waseem Ali scored 44 runs for his side. Daewoo CC scored a total of 186 runs after losing all of their wickets in 19.5 overs.
Abid Malik gave Super Daddy Cricket Club one hell of a start where he scored 59 runs without any help from Shehryar Qadir who went down for a duck. His brilliant performance gave his team the hope of winning this match. Mohammad Naeem came in at number three and added decent runs to the chase by scoring 24 runs, but lost his wicket to Aziz Ullah, who became the highest wicket taker from his side with 3 wickets to his name. Rest of the batsmen failed tremendously on getting their hands on big runs or for that matter on any run. They were brutally dismantled by the lethal bowling attack of the Daewoo CC. Another name that came under the spotlight was of Shahid Ali who picked up 3 wickets. The entire team was bowled out in 18.1 overs at a total of 126 runs.
