The opening match of the Memon Cricket League (MCL) kicked off at RLCA cricket ground with Vanthali Warriors batting first against Dhoraji Titans. After losing opener Rameez Mehboob for just 1 run, the team struggled against a formidable bowling line up, unable to keep the pressure off and build an innings. Muzammil Mehboob and Naveed Nagda showed some intent with knocks of 23 and 27 runs respectively but the team needed to capitalize on some decent starts to keep the momentum going. Dhoraji bowlers did well to contain the opposition keeping things tight and picking wickets when needed. Eventually, Farrukh Rangonia and Muzammil Chaipi knocked 32 and 21 to boost Vanthali Warriors to 150 for 8 in 20 overs.
Dhoraji Titans lost a few quick wickets in their chase but Adeel Majeed's 30 held the innings up on one end. Ahmer Aamir and Adeel Abbasi then carried the momentum forward with an impressive 55 not out and 42 run knock to helped Dhoraji Titans to an easy victory in just 18.4 overs. For Vanthali Warriors, captain Naveed Nagda played with heart picking up 3 wickets in his spell but simply could not defend his team's low total.
Dhoraji Titans won by 6 wickets.
