DMC Hawks batted first and were off to an ordinary start as they lost Kashif Mushtaq for a duck off the second ball of the match. The team however recovered quickly with the partnership between Mubashir and Safi. Mubashir was slow during the partnership and played a second fiddle role as he scored 14 off 25 balls with 1 four but his partner was in tremendous form, Safi Qamar thrashed the bowlers all around the park and he played one heroic innings for his side. He scored 89 runs off just 59 balls with 8 fours and 1 six. Other than him, few contributions came from the other end but Tayyab ended the innings well with his 30 off 29 balls with 1 four. The bowling was not good from Dolphins as they conceded 23 extras and in the end, Hawks managed to score 165 runs in their 20 overs.
Just like Hawks, Dolphins were also off to a poor start as they lost Naveed Ahmed for a duck. Amanullah and Rizwan then tried to bring their side back in the game and they scored 18 and 15 runs respectively but could not manage to bat for long, after them the contributions came from the entire middle order as Talha, Khurram and Rehan scored 17, 20 and 15 runs respectively but were unable to keep their wicket intact. The innings needed someone to stay till the end, but Dolphins kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Waqas Ali also scored a valuable 33 off 21 balls partnering with Adnan Alam who scored 14 but even their partnership was not enough to get over the line. In the end, they fell short by 4 runs as they were folded for a 161.
