Dolphins CC triumphant vs Agha Khan Gymkhana

Despite a commendable effort by Agha Khan Gymkhana, Dolphins emerged triumphant in their bout by 6 wickets this Sunday at the Agha Khan Gymkhana.

Agha Khan seemed well on their way to administering a dominant total with their opening batsmen scoring consistently and keeping the scoreboard ticking. Unfortunately, their lower middle and lower order fell quickly and could not push the total beyond 132 runs in 19.2 overs. Mohsin Saleem and Fazal Hussain were spectacular in their spells, picking up a combined 7 wickets to rip through the Aga Khan line up. Malik Ali and Salim A Rahim stop scored for their side with 36 and 37 runs respectively but it was simply not enough to give their side a fighting chance in the game.

The Dolphins, despite Danish falling to an lbw on the first ball of the innings, managed to comeback in spectacular fashion with a smashing 53 from 50 by Luqman and 43 from 42 by Azhar Khan which paved the way for the rest of the team to sail to a comfortable finish. Agha Khan bowler Salim A Rahim took two wickets and Adil Ali and Mr Afzal Baig each took one wicket.

An all round clinical performance by Dolphins CC helped them claim victory.
