Karachi Kaikras Vs DPLC
Karachi kaikras batted first and were put on the back foot from the very beginning, the opening bowling pair from DPLC were on top from the start and they kept the pressure on the top order. Muhammad Ikram picked up 1 wicket for just 15 runs whereas Daniyal Latif was in brilliant form and dismissed 3 crucial wickets for just 12 runs in 4 overs. The start was brilliant from the DPLC bowlers and they kept the pressure on throughout the innings. They did not allow much to Karachi kaikras, who were desperate for some quick runs, but the bowling was too good from the bowlers. After the early heroics from the bowling side we saw Umer Haroon covering up some of the damage with his knock of 62 runs. Asim and Talha Abbas were the only pair to carry an effective that actually made a difference on the scoreboard. They scored 33 runs in total. At the end of 20 overs, Karachi Kaikras had scored a total of 140 runs at the loss of 7 wickets.
The chase was a modest one and DPLC batsmen were confident of chasing the score down after a brilliant bowling display from their bowlers. Muhammad Maaz started the chase in confident fashion as he played with a strike rate of 150 and scored a beautiful 65 runs off 43 balls, but could not continue his reign of terror for long and was dismissed by Fawad Hussain. Next in were Hunain Jabbar and Saad Sattar and they build a solid partnership. Hunain scored a valuable 60 off 57 balls whereas his partner Saad Sattar scored 6 runs which brought them to victory. Karachi kaikras were never really in the hunt of winning the game and even after dragging the game till the 17th over they were beaten comfortably by 9 wickets.
DPLC won the match by 9 wickets.
