Karachi Club v Benitoz Panthers
An exciting encounter took place between two strong teams, Karachi Club and Benitoz Panthers, as they faced each other at IBA cricket ground as part of the 2nd ACM Gold t20 Night League tournament. Karachi Club batted first and had a good opening partnership of 52 runs between Talha Ahmedani and Rameez Mehboob before Talha was out after having scored 20 runs. Aamir Motiwala was highest scorer for Karachi Club with 49 runs and was unlucky not to get to his half century along with Rameez Mehboob who contributed 34 runs. Surprisingly, there were 31 extras conceded by the Panthers. Karachi Club were all out at a score of 161 runs. For Panthers, Madni Waqas Raja got 4 wickets for just 11 runs while Israr Ul Haq got 3 wickets and Umer Chawla and Uzair Saleem got a wicket each.
In reply, Panthers lost Madni, Ibad, Tabish and Hamza in quick succession and were reeling at 42 runs for the loss of 4 wickets before Mohib and Israr combined in a 64 run partnership. Mohib was eventually dismis after having scored 28 runs. Israr with 57 and Saad Ahmed with 26 brought their team close but the match went to the last over and with 4 runs needed off it, Salman Rafiq Dossani bowled an excellent over and only conceded 3 runs as Benitoz also ended at a score of 161 runs. For Karachi Club, Sameer, Khurrum and Salman got 2 wickets each.
