It was expected to be an easy chase for Eagles but they had a dismal start and were reduced to 7 runs for loss of 3 wickets as Rehan, Madni and Kashan all fell early. Asad Mahmood stabilized the innings with 29 runs but it was captain Umer Chawla who played an anchor role and stood steadfast till the end with 42 runs not out off 37 deliveries.  In the middle overs, the match was in Patriots favor with the required run rate climbing but an extraordinary blitz of 28 runs off just 10 balls at a strike of 280% by Hamza ensured that Eagles were over the finish line with 11 balls to spare.
