Benitoz and Eagles CC came head to head in an important match of the 8th Residence cup at SKBZ cricket ground. Benitoz batted first and Ahmed Arshad continued his good form as he scored 86 runs off 65 deliveries while Daniyal knocked 24 runs at the start. Salman with 25 helped further the cause but the subsequent batsmen struggled and Benitoz ended eventually at 153 for 7 in 20 overs. For Eagles, Faizan took 3 wickets while Hasan and Rehan got a wicket each.
In reply, Eagles opener Rehan Nazim got them off to a good start with 47 runs while fellow opener Jehangir Khan scored18 runs. A flurry of wickets with Kashan, Zubair and Zeeshan falling in quick succession put Eagles under pressure but the experienced Asad Mahmood with 20 runs unbeaten off 10 deliveries and captain Umer Chawla with 30 unbeaten off 26 deliveries helped Eagles reach home with 4 balls to spare. For Benitoz, Asad took 2 wickets while Qari, Danish, Sumail and Rehan got a wicket each. This was Eagles CC's 4th consecutive win in the Residence Cup after having lost the first match of the tournament.
