Karachi Defenders batted first and were off to a devastating start when Faraz Wahid Khan went down for a duck. The entire top and middle batting order was brutally dismantled by the outstanding bowling attack of Hassan Zaidi and Rehan Akhter, who kept on banging the batting order with their ferocious skills. Hassan picked up 3 wickets and Rehan picked up 2 wickets. Behroze scored a few decent runs, with a 16 runs knock, but then again that was not enough to give their team a super head start in the game. Wasiq Abdul Wahab and Agha Mohammad Shah were the only 2 batsmen to carry a satisfying partnership, which gave their side something to hold on to. Both of them scored a total of 33 runs. In 16.4 overs, Karachi Defenders had scored a total of 78 runs, after losing all of their wickets.
Eagles were off to a flying start in the second innings. Rehan Nazim and Madni Waqas Raja carried the best opening partnership and gave a brilliant boost to their chase. They scored a total of 53 runs, which brought their team very close to victory. Hassan Zaidi and Asad Mahmood finished the game with a 13 runs partnership. They chased the target in 9.5 overs and won the match.
