EFU General Insurance played against Adamjee Insurance at Al Mansoora cricket ground as part of the Insurance Premier League. EFU batted first and had a dismal showing on a batting track as their whole team was dismissed for just 118 runs. Notable contributors were Abdul Wahab with 36 runs, Zaib Kamal with 19 runs, Saad Anwar with 18 runs and Husain Mustafa with 10 runs while none of the other batsmen reached double figures. Adamjee Insurance bowlers did well to keep the pressure on with Inaam khan leading with 3 wickets. Zafar siddiqui also took 2 wickets while Jehanzeb, Imran, Shoaib, Nasir and Abdul Rehman got a wicket each.
In reply, Adamjee General Insurance lost Nasir Khan for a duck and Abdul Rehman was out for 2 runs. However, Shoaib Khan played a very key role for his side and got 53 runs off just 28 balls despite the high pressure situation and he was assisted by Imran Chughtai's 34 runs and Usman Siddiqui's 22 runs to comfortably chase down the total in 16.5 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. For EFU General insurance, Muhammad Ahmed, Ahmed Nawaz and Saad got a wicket each.
