Explosive Ejaz Takes Riders To Victory

Karachi Riders batted first against Abu Baqar XI at the all important final of the Rehman Cricket League. The team however lost their opener Saim for just 1 run but recovered well after that with Ismail Shah's 33, Faizan Bari's 63 and helping steady the innings. The real star however was Ejaz Rana who knocked an explosive 83 off 40 including 4 boundaries and 6 sixes. Karachi Riders ended at a mammoth target of 197 for 4 in 20 overs. Abu Bakar bowlers were relatively weak against the opposition, unable to properly capitalize on wickets.

In response, Abu Bakar XI were no match for an unstoppable Ejaz Rana who could simply do no wrong. The chasing side continued to lose wickets consistently with the exception of 2 half centurions that fought hard to keep their side in the game. Farhan Khan's 58 and Dawar Khan's 53 were the only players to show any intent while the rest of the side imploded. Ismail Shah and Saim also took 2 wickets each as Abu Bakar XI were dismissed for 153 in 17.5 overs.

Karachi Riders won by 44 runs and were crowned champions!
