Extras Dominate Inovians

In a friendly match played at the Moin Khan Academy, the Extras took on the Inovians in a match that saw the former team outclass their opponent.

The Inovians, after opting to bat first, started off well with Talha Khan scoring a run a ball 18, with 2 fours and a six, to set the momentum for his team.  The middle order consisting of Ahmed and Hassan Ali played responsibly to ensure that their team would post a competitive total on the board. Ahmed contributed with a quick 26 runs in 18 balls (3 fours) while his partner Hassan, scored 21 runs with only 1 boundary. For the Extras, Danish Sumair Ali was the leading wicket taker, picking up 3 wickets for 21 runs in his 3.2 overs. Hamza Khan and Subhan also bowled well to grab 2 wickets each. The Inovians, at the end of their innings, managed to score a decent 149 runs.

Chasing 150 runs at a required rate of 7.5 runs an over, the Extras were off to a dream start, with both openers striking the ball cleanly to all parts of the ground. Explosive batsmen Atif Ahmed scored a breath taking 76 runs in only 35 balls, with 7 fours and 5 massive sixes to lead the onslaught, while Zeeshan Khan contributed 43 runs, with the help of 7 boundaries, in 30 balls. Talha Khan and Abdullah were the only wicket takers for the Inovians, picking up a wicket each. The Extras chased down the target for the loss of 2 wickets.

The Extras won the match by 8 wickets with 6.1 overs remaining.
