Bubbers v Gigi Gladiators
Bubbers and Gigi Gladiators faced each other as part of the 2nd ACM Gold t20 Night League. Gladiators won the toss, batted first and were off to a good start as Adeel Khan hit 42 runs off 20 balls in an innings which included 2 boundaries and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 210%. Hammad Sheikhani and Ghazanfar Richie contributed 24 runs each but the star of the batting line up was Fahad Jabbar Memon who got 72 not out off just 45 deliveries at a strike rate of 160% and he hit 3 boundaries and 3 sixes as Gigi Gladiators ended at 179 for 5 in 20 overs. For Bubbers, Taha and Ali took 2 wickets each while Asad picked up a wicket.
In reply, Bubbers lost Abid early after he had scored 4 runs but Umair with 28 and Ali with 18 partnered to stabilize the innings. However, after they were dismissed wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals and only Asad Jafri got 23 not out before the other batsmen all buckled under the pressure and Bubbers managed only 83 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in a dismal show of batting. For Gladiators, Shahid took 2 wickets while Afzal, Ghazanfar and Adnan got a wicket each and there were surprisingly 4 run outs in the innings.
Gigi Gladiators won by 96 runs.
