The Ideal Sports took on the Gulshan Becks, in a friendly match, played at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, on the 2nd of July.
The Gulshan Becks started their innings with opener, Waqas Bawany, scoring a well-paced 50 runs in 40 balls at a strike rate of 125. His innings, which saw the ball travelling to all parts of the ground, included 4 fours and a colossal six. The Ideal Sports bowlers displayed some disciplined bowling, with Abbas Ali leading the pack with figures of 4 overs, 27 runs for 3 wickets. Lower order batsmen, Vicky Ali, scored a rapid 22 runs in just 8 balls, with a four and 2 sixes, to propel the Becks to a competitive 155 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
The second innings began with the Ideal Sports opener, Athisham scoring an electric 33 runs in only 15 balls, with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes, to set the momentum for the chase. Majid Yaseen also contributed with 19 runs with 3 fours. However the Gulshan Becks bowlers fought back into the game, with strike bowler Syed Zain Ali picking up 3 crucial wickets in is 4 overs. Vicky Ali also excelled with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 11 runs in his 3 overs. Ultimately, the Becks' bowling line up was too strong for the Ideal Sports team, who were dismissed for 118 runs only.
The Gulshan Becks won the match by 37 runs.
