Benitoz Panthers and Rims Lions played a league match of the MSL Season 2 at RLCA Gulberg cricket ground. Panthers batted first but Hammad Sheikhani, opening bowler for Lions was in prime form as he dismissed four top order batsmen Rameez Mehboob, Ahmed Arshad, Umer Chawla and Mohib Ahsan. Sumail Aziz with 24 runs , Aamir Motiwala with 18 runs and Ansar Bhesania with 17 runs put up some resistance but Panthers were all out for just 104 runs on a good batting pitch. For Rims Lions, Hammad Sheikhani took 4 wickets while Osama Ayub got 3 wickets and Adeel Khan got 2 wickets while Haji Ashraf picked up a wicket.
In reply, Adeel Khan decimated the Panthers bowling as he hit 37 runs off 15 balls at a strike rate of 247% while Farhan Arif got 23 runs and Daniyal Ali knocked 23 off 10 balls at a strike rate of 230% as Rims Lions raced home in the 10 over for the loss of just 3 wickets. For Panthers, all 3 wickets were taken by owner Ahmed Arshad. It was a one sided contest and the only game among seven games played so far which did not turn out to be an evenly matched contest and Panthers had a bad day in the field on this particular day while Rims Lions dominated from the start till the end.
Rims Lions won by 7 wickets.
