IBA Cricket ground was the venue for the MSL match between Benitoz Panthers and Classic Barbarians where Panthers won the toss and decided to bat first. Danish Aziz was in prime form as he hit 62 runs off 44 deliveries while Rameez Mehboob knocked 20 runs and Sumail Aziz got 21 runs as Panthers ended at 158 for the loss of 9 wickets at the end of 20 overs. For Barbarians, Saad Ahmed starred with 4 wickets, Kamil got 3 wickets and Shahid Nepal took a wicket.
In reply, Barbarians lost opener Taha after he had scored 12 runs while Kamil with 37 runs and Shayan with 20 runs put the team on course with a good partnership but the loss of wickets at critical junctures put pressure on the incoming batsmen. Ali Bantwa managed 32 runs and Saad Asif got 12 runs but Barbarians could only reach 140 for 8 at the end of 20 overs. For Panthers, Hamza Qadir was key with 3 wickets while Madni and Umer Chawla got 2 wickets each while Zeeshan Fatani picked up a wicket.
Benitoz Panthers won by 18 runs.
