Sharfabad United v Leading Challengers
Sharfabad United batted first and were off to a rocky start, losing opener Adil early on in the innings for just 5 runs. The team lost wickets in intervals but rotated the strike to contribute valuable runs with the bat. Saad Salim and Sameer Gaba kept their wickets intact scoring cameos of 34 and 24 runs respectively to stabilize the innings. Mani Khan also contributed 29 runs to propel his team's total. Leading Challengers bowlers put up a good fight with Talal, Huzaifa and Mohammad picking up 2 wickets each to stop the flow of runs. Some brilliant piece of fielding also lead to 3 crucial run outs. Sharfabad United set a target of 158 runs in 20 overs.
In response, Leading Challengers lost their opener Shahrukh for duck. Things did not get any easier for the chasing side as they lost wickets frequently, unable to gain stability at any stage. Arsalan and Faizan tried hard to chase down the target, scoring 31 and 25 runs respectively but were outdone by a fantastic display of bowling. Muhammad Hashim lead the bowling attack with 3 wickets. He was further supported by Mansoor Ilyas, Hamza Dyer and Amin Riaz who also took 2 wickets each. None of the remaining batsmen were able to show any resistance and were bowled out for 132 runs in 18 overs.
