Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana batted first and were off to a brilliant start. Even after losing Hussain Abbas for just 5 they never looked back. Farhan Asif and Hassan Qazi were in top form and made use of their form to its full effect. Farhan Asif played a supportive role and scored 32 off 22 balls whereas Hassan Qazi was unbelievable. He smashed 95 off just 55 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes and was instrumental in taking Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana to big first innings score. The innings was in a nice flow and it ended well for Nazeer Hussain Gymkhan with Talha and Farukh smashing the bowlers in the later stages as they scored 22 and 23 respectively in quick time to take the score to 196 in 20 overs.
Intellegal XI in reply were off to a brilliant start, thanks to their opening pair Sohail and Salman Ashraf. The took charge on the bowlers and dictated terms in the initial part of the innings. Sohail scored 23 off just 15 balls with 4 fours whereas Salman Ashraf scored 52 off just 29 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. But Intellegal’s joys were short lived as soon after the openers dismissed, their innings fell like the house of a card. Atif Ali inspired the bowling line up and mesmerized in his 4 over spell picking up 5 wickets for just 28 runs. It was a great bowling effort and supported by Faisal Mujtaba who picked up 3. In the end, Intellegal XI were restricted to just 155.
Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana won by 41 runs.
