Vma Suleman Textile and Karachi Avengers played at Anoo Bhai park cricket ground as part of the 20th Challengers cup. Vma Suleman batted first and Ejaz Shah was in fine form as he hit the ball to all corners of the park to get 69 runs off just 39 deliveries. Noman Ampara got 14 runs and then two master blaster innings from Rabish Ahmed (79 runs off 45 balls) and Fahad Jabbar (43 runs off 17 balls) enabled VMA Suleman to end their innings at a mammoth 226 for the loss of just 3 wickets. For Karachi Avengers, Abdullah Nawab took 2 wickets and Abdul Samad picked up a wicket.
In reply, Karachi Avengers got off to a horrible start as 3 quick wickets fell as Mir Farhad Khalid and Waqar Salim were dismissed for 1 run and Yasir Tanveer for just 2 runs. Adnan Akhtar though was in a zone of his own and was undeterred by the quick fall of wickets and played his usual aggressive knock and scored a brilliant century as he got 107 runs off 50 balls at a strike rate of 217%. Adnan hit 11 boundaries and 8 sixes in his magnificent knock. Waqas Wakeel with 27 runs and Abdul Basit with 21 runs furthered the cause but Karachi Avengers fell short and ended at 180 for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs. For Vma Suleman, Naveed Rangoonia got 2 wickets while Ejaz Shah, Imran Idrees, Rehan Hanif and Shahzad Suleman picked up a wicket each.
VMA Suleman won by 46 runs.
