Bilal Fighters batted first against Hiba Builder Thunders at the final of the Shaikhani Premier League (SPL) Season 3!
Despite losing opener Ahmed Qureshi for just 6 runs, the team put up a strong front with Babar Malik contributing 31 and Ali Iqbal's brilliant 81 runs putting his side in a very dominant position. Khurram Ali Khan also chipped in with 30 as Bilal Fighters ended at 178 for 4 in 20 overs. Nadeem Akthar picked up 3 wickets for the Thunders but it wasn't enough to contain the opposition.
In response, Hiba Builders Thunders came out with the winning intent. Faisal Butt and Uzair Aslam got things started with 26 and 30 respectively before Adeel Sabuwala took over to guide his side to an easy victory. The super star batsman smashed 84 off 43 including 7 boundaries 5 sixes. There was little the rest of the batsmen needed to do as the chasing side reached their target in 19.2 overs. Fighters bowlers were just never in it with only Salman Sheikhani picking up 2 wickets in his spell.
Hiba Builders won the match by 7 wickets and are champions of the SPL!
