The Hush Puppies beat Khas by 35 runs in the 3rd MTAX CPL match which took place on 17-9-2015 at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy.
The Hush Puppies were put in to bat first and managed to put up a very competative total on the board. The middle order thrived with Owais Gulzar getting 56 of 51 balls along with Asad Arshad who got 38 of 26. Asif Hayat applied the finishing touches by accelerating the run rate with his 25 of just 11 balls to get the Hush Puppies to 181.
Chasing this total under lights was always going to be an arduous endeavour and some exceptional bowling from Habib Vohra and Asif Hayat made it all the more difficult as they picked up 2 wickets a piece. Rehan Tahir was the only stand out player with the bat for Khas remaining unbeaten on 53. However his resistance was not enough to get a win and Khas only managed 146 in their 20, falling short by 35 runs.
