Hush Puppies made a comeback this past Thursday at the TMC ground against Wintex Strikers and beat them by six wickets.
Wintex Strikers batted first and while they got off to a slow and rocky start, a sensational innings by Ahmed Waqar and Anas Ahmed, who made 43 from 29 and 64 from 44 respectively, gave new life to the team who managed to score 158 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets. Habib Vohra from the Hush Puppies bowled beautifully this innings and took three wickets while Saqib Nisar and Hasan Alam took one each.
Hush Puppies then took to the field and after recovering from the initial shock of losing Hassan Arshad, a rapid succession of well-played knocks shifted the victory in favor of the Hush Puppies. The most impressive knock coming from Farhan Iqbal who made 56 runs from 47 balls. Hush Puppies made 161 in 19.1 overs for the loss of four wickets. Anas Ahmed and Kashif Iftikhar each took a wicket in this inning.
