Fakhri Falcons and Hyderi Blasters went head to head at the final of the Bohra t20 Champions League this past Sunday. Falcons batted first and seemed to be off to a decent start with both openers Hussain and Saifuddin knocking 15 and 44 runs respectively. The team got off to some decent starts but the Fakhri Falcons could not build an innings or take off at any stage. Aamir Hussain also contributed a valuable cameo of 21 runs but wickets continued to fall throughout the innings. Blasters bowlers were in form and on fire, being sure to give nothing away. Hussain Zohaib and Mustafa Quaid were the key wicket takers with 2 scalps each. Fakhri Falcons were restricted to 166 for 7 in 20 overs.
In response, Hyderi Blasters were off to a dream start with Abbas Shams and Ali Asghar scoring 35 runs each to give their team a perfect platform. Once the pair were dismissed, Ibrahim Huzaifa took over the reigns with a match winning knock of 57 to set up what should have been a very comfortable victory. Falcons bowler Saifuddin played with heart, picking up 3 crucial wickets in his spell but was unable to defend his team's total. Hussain DVD also chipped in with 2 wickets and Aamir Hussain got 1 but all in vain. Eventually, 13 runs each by Hussain Zohaib and Hussain Abbas got Hyderi Blasters over the line with 1 ball to spare.
Hydreri Blasters won by 4 wickets.
