ICT v American Doors
ICT played against American Doors at RLCA ground as part of the 16th Challengers cup. American Doors batted first but were met with some excellent line and length bowling by Ubaid Umer at the start as he conceded only 16 runs in 3 overs at an economy rate of 5.33 and also got 3 very important wickets and broke the backbone of American Doors batting lineup. Rafay Malik was also in deadly bowling form as he got 3 quick wickets. Good bowling spells by Talha Ahmedani who got 2 wickets and Hunain and Shahzaib who got a wicket each ensured that American Doors were all out for just 123 runs on a good batting track. Saad Gutta and Ammar Pasta were the only two batsmen to show some resistance with fighting knocks of 38 and 24 runs respectively.
The reply from ICT's batsmen was as expected as they raced home in just 14.5 overs for the loss of just 5 wickets. Opener Talha Ahmedani hit an exquisite 50 off just 32 balls that included 7 boundaries and a six while Haris Altaf got 18 and Adeel Khan got 14 to take their team home in a comfortable fashion. For American Doors, Muhammad Naveed got 3 wickets while Khalid Khursheed and Hammad Sheikhani got a wicket each.
