Al Mansoora cricket Ground was the location where an extremely one sided affair took place between JS Bank and Karachi Shaheens for the 7th Challengers Corporate Cup. JS Bank displayed utter dominance throughout the game as they batted first and notched up a mammoth 253 for the loss of just 3 wickets. The highlight of the innings was a brilliant century by Waqas Khan who achieved the extraordinary feat of scoring a century at a strike rate of 226% as he hit 102 runs off just 45 balls and his innings included 6 boundaries and 9 sixes. His compatriots also contributed strongly as Zulfiqar got 70 runs off just 46 balls and Tariq got 45 runs off 24 balls. For Karachi Shaheens, Sibgatullah and Waleed took a wicket each and there was 1 run out.
The reply from Karachi Shaheens while batting was as disappointing as their bowling performance in the first innings as the whole team collapsed to 56 all out in just 12 overs. Only openers Hamza with 14 and Mohsin with 12 could score something of note while all other batsmen played wrong shots and could not settle in against some nippy line and length bowling by JS Bank bowlers. For JS Bank, Zulfiqar took 4 wickets while Sahir and Noman picked up 2 wickets each and Aqeel and Arbab got a wicket each.
JS Bank won by 197 runs.
