Alpha CC could not overcome the Karachi Avengers despite their best efforts here at the IBA Ground on March 31st.
Alpha CC batted first and were off to a great start with opener Syed Inam Agha scoring 29 runs and Raheel Abdul Majeed scoring an impressive 60 runs. Arsal Ali also scored a very impressive 57 runs to help push the team to a massive 199 runs in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Nadeem Akhtar took two wickets while Saad Sultan, Talha Abbas and Waqar Saleem took one wicket.
Karachi Avengers batted consistently and performed superbly to get the victory. Waqas Wakeel made 22 runs, Mir Farhad Khalid made 26 runs, Yasir Tanveer made 31 runs, Waqar Hafeez Wicky made 54 runs remaining not out, Nadeem Akhtar made 20 runs and Waqar Saleem made 42 runs out and also remained not out. They managed to make 200 in 18.5 overs for the loss of four wickets. Fayyaz Hussain Warsi took two wickets, Areeb Naveed and Daniyal Ahmed took one wicket each.
