Karachi Fighters v Rising Star
What a start by Karachi fighters who batted first! Opener Adnan was brilliant with the bat top scoring for his side with an impressive 72 run knock at a strike rate of 153 runs. The rest of the team however contributed little with the bat, getting off to some decent starts but unable to capitalize any further. Taimoor Ali was the only other notable contributor for his side with a 36 run innings. Rising bowler Hamza Mehmood did well to limit the opposition, picking up wickets at key times to stump the opposition. He took 3 wickets in his spell. Zeeshan Fattani also picked up 2 wickets. Karachi Fighters set a competitive target of 172 runs in 20 overs.
Rising Stars were off to a disastrous start in their chase losing opener Haji for duck! The team struggled throughout the innings, unable to gain the stability they required to keep the scoreboard ticking. Adeel Rizvi and Nadir Awan were the only two batsmen to show some resistance, scoring 26 and 40 runs respectively. Fighters bowlers did well to pick wickets at key times with Mohammad Ramzan and Salman Khan taking 2 wickets each. Rising Star were limited to 118 runs in 20 overs.
Karachi Fighters won by 54 runs.
