Karachi Hawks v Karachi Stallions
An important league match of the 7th Residence Cup took place between Karachi Stallions and Hawks at Hillpark cricket ground. Stallions batted first and lost Hannan and A Samad early in the innings. Ahmed and Zohaib then lead the recovery scoring 40* and 42 runs respectively to ensure that Stallions ended at 154 for 6. For Hawks, Anas was the the pick of the bowlers picking up 4 crucial wickets and Kaleem also got 2 wickets.
In reply, Hawks lost opener Ali Zaidi after he had scored 14 runs. However, A Rehman with 45 and Anas Ahmed with 48 runs off just 24 balls at a strike rate of 200% helped propel the team's total. A minor cameo of 18 runs by Zain ensured that Hawks reached the target for the loss of only 5 wickets. For Stallions, Hasan got 2 wickets and Shezad and Asad got a wicket each.
Hawks won by 5 wickets.
