In a friendly match played between Karachi Kids Cricket Club and Sixteen Star Cricket Team on 22nd July 2017, Karachi Kids secured an easy victory.
Karachi Kids batted first, getting off to a positive start with openers Ali Abbas (21) and Alley Haider (26) making a strong statement to the opposition. The middle order resurrected the innings, after the fall of a few quick wickets, with Sohail Mughal making a quick-fire 31 while Ali Adnan played a cameo of 20 runs. Hence they were able to amass a respectable total of 160 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Saqib Khan was the only notable bowler, who picked up 2 wickets for his 29 runs, in his allotted 4 overs.
Sixteen Star also started positively with openers Hussain Abbas and Adnan Baig making 23 and 39 respectively at a decent rate. However, none of the other batsmen succeeded in capitalizing on the solid start and the middle order was blown away with some exceptional bowling to dismiss Sixteen Star Cricket Team for 137. Alley Haider was the star bowler, picking up 4 wickets, for just 7 runs, in his 3 overs.
Karachi Kids Cricket Club won the match by 23 runs.
