Karachi Patriots Vs Zam Zam Sports was played on the 13th of Decemerber at ther Old Navy Ground Karsaz.
Karachi Patriots got to a shaky start as Tayyab and Faisal Butt opened in the first innings. Tayyab scored 57 runs in 36 balls which included 7 boundaries but Faisal's wicket was picked up early for 6 runs by Asim. However, Amir Khan continued his red hot form, smashing the ball to all ends of the ground which gave hope to the audience his scintillating knock of 66 in 43 balls included a total of 6 fours and 2 sixes. To mantain the energy already built up amongst the audience, Adeel Abbasi came to the wicket and contributed a fast paced 39. After his wicket Suleman seized the opportunity and stopped the leackage of runs by sending 2 batsmen back to the hut. Hence, the Patriots were able to set a target of 201 for the loss of 6 wickets.
The second innings started with modest opening provided by Shahid who topped by scoring 24 runs and Shoaib who scored 11 runs in 33 and 24 balls, respectively. After the struggle of the openers was over , wickets started tumbing at relevant intervals as the scoreboard pressure coupled with some lovely bowling by Sameer, Usman and Ayaz, who picked up two wickets each, got too much to handle for the Zam Zam batsmen as they eventually trudged to 108 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Tayyab and Aamir were declared joint man of the match in the Patriots 93 run win.
