Khas Vs Al Hamra
Friendly Fixture
Khas batted first and even after losing an early wicket in Khurram Mazhar they were off to a blistering start. Hassan Sohail and Yasir Tanveer laid a perfect platform with their fine partnership. They both were hardly troubled during their stay and they took advantage of every opportunity that came their way. The bowlers were clueless against them and they were exposed by classy batting from the duo. Hassan made 45 off 34 with 5 fours whereas his partner was in impeccable form and scored a resilient 61 off just 37 balls with 7 fours and a six. The stage was set for some fireworks from the lower middle order and they took full advantage of it. The bottom 3 played quick little cameos, first it was Khurram and Farhan who scored 23 and 12 respectively and later Junaid came in and blasted 17 off just 10 to give their side a big first innings score of 179.
After a disappointing show with the ball, Al Hamra were hoping to have a much better start with the bat but it was not the case as the bowlers came out all guns blazing and restricted the scoring opportunities which resulted in two quick wickets at the top. The chase was dented but Al Hamra came back strongly on the back of Umair who was in great hitting form, he smashed 64 off just 45 balls with 7 fours and he was supported by Mubashir who scored 23 off 26. They were on track when these two were batting but as soon as they were dismissed, Khas came back strongly and put brakes on the scoring rate and picked up wickets at regular intervals. This made it difficult for Al Hamra to come back in the game and they were restricted to just 150.
In the end, Khas won by 29 runs.
