Lucky Knits went up against Karachi Social Spartans this past weekend. Batting first, Lucky Knits were off to a decent start but never capitalized on the foundation set. Openers Siraj and Shabi knocked 14 and 35 respectively before Shahab Uddin and Fawad Saeed's twin innings of 29 each. The team however continued to lose wickets and their momentum throughout with Social's bowlers striking at key times. Faisal Shah and Muhammad Iqbal took 2 wickets each with Mohammad Raza and Parvaiz Awan picking up a wicket each. Lucky Knits ended at 130 for 6 in 20 overs.
In response, Karachi Social Spartans could not get going at any stage. The chasing side lost opener Hashim cheaply for 9 and things did not get any better after that. Fahim Khan and Waqar Zubair were the most notable contributors for their side with knocks of 21 and 22 runs respectively. Arsalan Mateen was the key wicket taker with 2 for 25 in his spell while Feroz, Amir and Waqar got a wicket each. Karachi Social Spartans were limited to 114 for 6 in 20 overs.
Lucky Knits won by 16 runs.
