Cricketer Express batted first against Markhor CC in a match of 6th KMMA League. The batting side had a terrible start as their openers got dismissed for a duck and 4 runs respectively. The middle order followed the footsteps of their openers and were seemed to be in a hurry to reach back to the pavilion. Jahangir Gabool was an exception from it who took some responsibility and scored some important 32 runs. Naveed from the lower order further kept some dignity of his team by scoring 25 runs. The bowling team though bowling in the right area was not good with their line as they bowled a total of 19 wide deliveries. This helped Express to cross the milestone of 100. Furqan’s amazing spell of 4 wickets helped Markhors to limit the opposition to 110 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.
Markhors CC in reply comfortingly clinched the victory. Though they first tottered, they stood up soon. Humayun and Zohaib’s unbeatable 41 and 21 runs did it for Markhors. Express bowlers, like their batsmen, got no chance to play on the front foot. Naveed from Cricketer Express was the leading wicket taker claiming 2 wickets. Markhors chased the target in 17 overs.
