Masaqa CC and Ali Sports went against each other on 28th September at Lawai Cricket Ground.
Haris Saeed Khanzada and Shoaib Jaffar opened the innings for Ali Sports, scoring 10 and 7 runs respectively. The batters lost continuous wickets, as the bowlers dominated. Saqib Khan and Waseem Ali were ferocious, as they bagged 2 wickets each. Arif Yaqoob, the middle order batter, made the effort and stabilised the innings by hitting 31 off 20. In addition to this, Akhtar Muhammad was stunning, as he smashed 72 runs off just 27 balls. Hence, Ali Sports posted a total of 182 runs.
Muhammad Afzal and Ahmed Hussain opened the innings for Masaqa CC to chase. Afzal scored 30 runs at a strike rate of 166.67 and Hussain scored 28 off 26. Arif Yaqoob dominated, as he was successful in dismissing the openers. In addition to this, he also dismissed Sohail Khan at 12 runs. However, it was the one-down batter, Zahir Malik, who stabilised the innings. He smashed 60 off 37, hitting 8 massive boundaries. His innings were backed by Gulzar Ali’s cameo that was played at a strike rate of 180.
Hence, Masaqa CC was led to a win in 19 overs overs only.
